The Alfred Joyce Kilmer Memorial Bad Poetry Contest ([WikiCU](http://www.wikicu.com/Joyce_Kilmer_Memorial_Bad_Poetry_Contest))  is Philo's flagship annual event, drawing crowds in the hundreds. As the most visible of Philo's appearances on campus, Kilmer has a way of attracting new Philos, such as 2008's Mr. Blair, 2007's Ms. Poindexter, and once upon a time even the now elderly Mr. Schwartz. At evening's end, attendees join in reciting Joyce Kilmer's famous poem "[[Trees|past_kilmer_winners/trees.pdf]]."
